Coming off of a multipitch in my Halle pants.
On many of my women's outdoor Facebook groups, the question of "what pant should I wear?!" comes up frequently. The most common answer that I've been seeing lately are: PrAna's Halle pant. Honestly, that's what I usually tell people as well. They're generally comfortable, pretty durable, and what can I say, they make your butt look dang cute. Look good, feel good, am I right? But real talk, this pant has some DWR, so it holds up in a bit of weather, and it is tough enough for me to climb multipitch rock in day after day. I've gone through a couple of these and still love them.
These pants aren't perfect, and the one gripe I kinda have with these is the occasional plumbers crack that occurs from the lower rise fit. It isn't techinically a low rise pant, but occasionally it happens and it isn't ideal. The other gripe is that sizing can be all over the place. If you're in a spot where you can try them on first, I'd do that! Once you find your size, it's a great pant. I even did my Monte Rosa attempt in them and they worked great!
Approaching the Monte Rosa Hut in my Halle's. I did the whole climb with them!
PROS:
Fits great
For a lightweight softshell pant, it's pretty durable
Rolls up nicely when needed
Pretty versatile
CONS:
Sizing is all over the place - try them on if you can!
Occasional plumbers crack. Dang. Maybe I just need a belt tho.
