The Crow is my three season mountaineering boot, and I love it. It is just wide enough for my feet at the forefoot, and the heel seats great in the heel cup. I've found that people with wide feet, but narrow heels fit this boot well. I also like that the boot is pretty lightweight, and walks well on approaches to climbs. The synthetic outer keeps it durable and keeps rocks from tearing it up on scramble portions. The heel welt fits semi-automatic crampons quite well, and gives the security I need.
While this boot is great, and I am always happy to wear it, I find that a lot of my snow objectives lately include skiing or running, so I bring this boot out less and less. I did, however, wear it on my last Rainier climb, and I'd bring it on more if I wasn't skiing!
Pros:
Fits my wide foot, but narrow heel well
Synthetic outer is durable
Lightweight
Walks well on approaches
Solid stability with semi-auto crampons
Cons:
Not a whole ton of warmth properties, but that's expected for this type of boot
The EVA mid-sole is lightweight, but will get compressed faster over time. So far, this hasn't been an issue for me.
