For a while, I only had a rock rope, which is a nice 9.8 bi-patterned 70m rope. Rad. I love it, however it is heavy when you're going into the alpine. Dan and I had debated whether we watned the 30m version of the Alpine Sender or the 60m version, and we decided that since we will probably be doing some alpine climbing with it, we might as well get the 60m so that we can be a bit more efficient. This decision, however, is one that we're still debating, and we may still cut the rope in half to ease up on weight when we take it on a glacier and don't need the extra 30m.
Overall, I haven't used this rope a whole to, because generally I end up either taking my big rope or using a friends, but when I do use it I have been happy with it. It is particularly really reliable with glacier travel.
