The Orion is a bomber 4 season tent that Dan and I have been using for a couple years now. We've been admittedly absorbed in fast and light excursions lately, so it doesn't come out a whole ton. When it does, however, we find that we are primarily taking it out in it's "outer only" form, and we leave the interior at home to save weight. We picked this tent because it has large vestibules, a 2 person fit that isn't so spacious that it adds a ton of extra weight, and an easy set up that stays strong in the wind.
The Orion tucked up against a ridge near the Turtle on Mt. Rainier
I've used this tent everywhere from Rainier in the summer to ski touring in the winter, and even the Wind River range in the fall. It's a cozy tent, bomber, and relatively pretty lightweight.
It also - as Dan and I found out on Rainier in 2021 - stays very strong in crazy winds. (See video). Now I know it is hard to get an estimate of how hard wind is blowing when you're in the middle of it, but when we got back to the car after a very restless sleep of a freight train bowling us over, we saw that the recorded wind speeds were averaging 50mph that night, and had gusts as high as 70mph! That's like sitting in a tent on top of a car speeding down the freeway! That's some insane wind, and our tent held like a champ.
Pros:
Pretty light
Easy to set up
Large vestibules
Strong in bad weather
Cons:
None so far :)
