I have now had my Eos for about two years, and I'll tell ya, this thing is WELL LOVED by me. Possibly to a fault. I am not really proactive at cleaning it, as I don't have a front loading washer/dryer. But I still get it cleaned every once in a while and the down pops up back to life. Magic. This thing is incredibly warm for it's weight, and I bring it on most every summer backcountry trip, and winter trips where I want down, but don't quite need as much bulk as my Helios. It only weighs 9oz, but keeps me warm when it is freezing out. Definitely worth the weight when I need it on trips.
This jacket probably gets it's most wear and tear from being one of my daily jackets in the winter. It is a great city jacket as well, and carries a variety of functions. With the small DWR on the outside, I wear it in a drizzle no problem. If it is raining, however, I do put my hardshell over it. I take this jacket on dry but cold tours, or overnight tours in the spring. The one downside of this jacket is that the sizing can be a bit tricky. I usually am a solid medium, however I wear a small in the Eos. That, however, is changing for spring 2021 ;)
PROS:
Really warm for it's weight
Packs down super small
Hood is helmet compatible, but not too big
Pockets are great for keeping cold hands warm
Great backcountry or city jacket
CONS:
Not good for wet weather (but that's a given for any down jacket)
Sizing is funky. A little big.
Some wish there were hood cinches and a chest pocket. (Stay tuned for the spring '21 run!)
