Me in my Ferosi coming down from my first time up SEWS in the North Cascades
My Ferosi goes with me on practically every alpine climb and ski I do. It gives me great weather protection and wind protection without making me sweat out. I'll often wear it on ski tours over my Echo hoody. This gives me the warmth of just under an R1, but gives me lots of versatility, and weather resistancy that the R1 doesn't give. I've had the same Ferosi for at least 3 years now, and I don't see it deteriorating on me any time soon. Even when I take it up an awkward offwidth, or deep hand crack, I am not worried about it falling apart on me.
The Ferosi is a standard in a lot of outdoorspeople's kits lately, at least here in the Northwest, and it is one of my most versatile pieces I own. I pretty much have yet to find a complaint with it here!
PROS:
Highly breathable
Wind resistant
Water resistant
Only 13oz
CONS:
I haven't found any yet, maybe the hood is a little tight when wearing a helmet underneath? I'm not too picky of a person, however.
Some people report pilling on the jacket, but I haven't found that to be the case with mine.
