PrAna Halle pants are a quite popular thin softshell pant. I wear mine while climbing (both cragging and alpine climbing), and I also wear it while ski touring in the spring/summer.
The OR Cirque is the pant I see most often while ski touring here in the Cascades. BY FAR. It is quite popular, and for a good reason. It is thick enough to keep you warm, but also breathes like a charm and for everything but straight rain, it keeps you dry. I wear it a ton while touring in the winter, and volcano climbing.
